The Traitors 1st drop recap- All About The Faithfuls

Peacock has released the first drop of their reality competition series The Traitors. Today Watchers Delight will be covering who we think is most vital to the faithful's success and who could lead to the faithful's demise.

SPOILER WARNING!!! PLEASE WATCH EPISODES 1-3 BEFORE READING! BLOG DOES NOT GO CHRONOLOGICALLY WITH THE SHOW

WD's Top Three

Dylan Efron

Our fist Faithful we will go over is the big surprise of the season, Dylan Efron. Starting out episode 1 as "Zach's brother", Dylan ends the 3rd episode as maybe the only faithful figuring out who is evil, but not having the numbers to act now. I won't say too much about Dylan's game here because I am working on a blog just about Dylan to come out this week. All we need to know now, he is the BIGGEST threat to the traitors.

Nikki Garcia

Second on my list I'm putting Nikki Garcia. The way I see Nikki's game is pretty much opposite of Dylan's game. Nikki has been able to seemingly form connections with everyone on the cast, especially the threesome of her Gabby and Chrishelle. I don't think Nikki has any clue who is evil, but she knows she's in this game for the long haul. One thing I really noticed about Nikki's presence throughout the first three episodes is, when there is a blow up, she is around, just listening to her castmate vent.

Derrick Levasseur

Derrick enters the show in episode 2 as part of the "three new players" twist. Derrick is smart, great with people, and most importantly, has alliances with traitors, which will set him up for the end game. Derrick' decision of handing his shield to Dylan was the best decision he could have made. Dylan has the strategy and the correct idea of where the faithfuls need to go, and Derrick has the people skills and ability to validate Dylan's thoughts to everyone else, as he is a legend of these "types" of shows. One of the big confessionals from Derrick that makes me think he's got his hand on the pulse is when he calls out that one of the other two players who joined the game with him, will probably be a traitor. We know he is correct, the question is how far will his trust of Danielle and Rob blind him from their affiliation in the game.

Honorable Mentions

Robyn Dixon and Gabby Windey

Notable Characters

Bob Harper

Bob Harper was someone I thought could win the whole game, both as a traitor and a faithful. In the first 2 episodes, I was proven right. Bob's early ability to make bonds while keeping his threat level low was always going to be his strongest asset. I think Bob makes the correct decision in the canoe challenge where he identified that men were not going off for the team and he would look more trustworthy if he got off. In episode 2, Bob does not get the shield from any of the new three players, possibly a sign Bob cannot make firm connections with the "competitive show veterans in the cast. Episode 3 really is where Bob's game starts losing some steam. In the clown house challenge. Before the challenge Bob loses his temper with Tony because Tony is not being a team player and sacrificing for the team and going first. While Bob is justified in his thought path, the way he went about this attack onto Tony. Another issue for Bob is that he and his partner, Delores, were the 4th group to go up, which meant they should have known the door that was correct. Unfortunately, they did not chose the right door. Now look, I get mistakes happen, but it's still too early to be useless in challenges AND chaos in the mansion. The final disaster of episode three is Bob's roundtable appearance.

Brittany Hayes

In the first drop of Traitors season 3, Brittany has not had nearly the grasp on the game that her Big Brother 12 counterpart, Rachel Reilly. For starters, I thought Brittany would such a huge character in this show and yet, her edit is barely exists. Most of Brittany's segments are her getting misted by Danielle or her telling people she has no clue what's going on. On top of that, I don't think co-BB legend Derrick, has her back much as we see him give his shield to someone he barely knows in episode 2. I also think Danielle's vendetta against Brittany stemming from Reindeer Games, a Big Brother Christmas off-shoot, where Brittany blindsided Danielle. Brittany's problem is that for the other faithfuls, a useless faithful is just as bad as a bad traitor, and Brittany's lack of awareness in this game is a threat to her at a roundtable.
